The exact supplies I bring to every No Rain, No Flowers workshop
October 16, 2026 · by Nicole Leduc

Every workshop I run starts the same way: the same worn tote bags, the same checklist taped inside the lid. If you've ever wondered what's actually in them — or you want to build your own setup at home — here's the honest list.
Canvas
Every guest gets a pre-primed stretched canvas, ready to paint the second you sit down. No drawing, no prep — the sketch comes from me, brushstroke by brushstroke.
Brushes
I bring a mix of flats and rounds, one set per seat — this brush set is the home version I'd buy. You really only need three: a big one for backgrounds, a medium one for petals, and a small one for details.
Paints
Good acrylics make everything easier — the colors blend softer and forgive more. My everyday tubes: Cadmium Yellow, Alizarin Crimson, and Viridian Green, plus plenty of white. That's it. Every painting in the gallery came out of those basics.

Easels
Lightweight tabletop easels, one per seat. They make everyone's painting feel real the moment it goes up.
Aprons
Paint happens. I bring aprons for everyone, so you can relax and skip the dry-clean-only outfit.
The cleanup kit
Paper towels, water cups, wet wipes, and a trash bag — my cleanup kit — the unglamorous bag that means you leave with a painting and not a mess.
That's the whole load-in. If you come to a workshop, all of it is already waiting at your seat — you bring exactly nothing but yourself.
